I’m Specialist John Dorman US Army Retired for those of you reading my travel blog for the first time..I am a St.Lucian American who not to long ago retired from a lucrative Federal job about 10 years ago to become a world-class traveler . July 10 2016 I revisited Martinique for a medical evaluation .Once this was accomplished I spent 2 extravagant leisurely weeks exploring and wandering between all of the towns in Martinique with no fixed plan it was idyllic . Hence the reason why the called me a riddle wrapped in an enigma
OMG pastry that melts in your mouth. For the best in pastries Martinique is the place It tastes as though you have doused it with butter and fine spices , The people in Martinique are the pastry geniuses of the Caribbean

| I have a weakness and an affinity for good tasting bread .I am mystified as to why the rest of the world can’t get this right. Martinique's breads have a crust that is crusty and an inside that is light, airy, and floats into your mouth. There are more holes on the inside than bread. It’s perfect. The best in the world, in my modest opinion their bread is better than sex |
Voila! The markets the shops,the stores There are more world-class markets in Martinique than any other Caribbean islands .Each one is a feast for the eyes, the nose, and the taste buds. The best are in FDF and in Lamentin . The folks in Martinique know how to dress up their stores .
I do my utmost to visit them all whenever am in town . Two favorite of mine are Leader Price and Carrefour .In addition to the usual array of produce, meats, poultry and cheeses, here you can sample food which has been prepared for you. One memorable meal was the quiche I sampled at Carrefour .
My friends and family do have a negative perception of me .They say that am a riddle wrapped in and enigma .My wanderlust takes me to new destinations here I am traveling through the lush countryside of Martinique in search of new experiences and living my life to the full.
I love this quaint little village
Further down the road is a beautiful old church that will take your breath away.
Desruisseaux has a lovely chilled out vibe to it I spent some quality time here with first time friends we had a blast we partied all night long eating drinking dancing and playing Dominoes
